What a great day for Detroit sports!  Wins for the Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings!

I didn't actually watch the Pistons game, but according to ESPN they slid by with a win against the 76ers: 104 to 100.
Jordanne and I went to the Tigers game this afternoon (Thanks for the tickets, Chris!), and although I now resemble a lobster due to my wicked sunburn, the weather was perfect and the win made the day even better.  The crowd was smaller than any other game I've been to, but I doubt many people can get off work to go to game in the middle of the day on a Wednesday.
Later, while working, we got to watch the Wings start the playoffs right with a win against the Coyotes.  Being a huge Wings fan, you all know how happy this makes me.  I hope Zetterberg returns soon though... I always think Datsyk is sad without him, not that it kept him from scoring!  Great to see so many fellow Wings fans at Diggs tonight!

To talk about more of our drafts:
Short's Brews are on special this month, all just $3.50...
Here's a little information on each pulled directly from the Short's Website.  For more information on Short's Brewing, please visit www.shortsbrewing.com

Short's Bellaire Brown:  American Brown Ale

"A full flavored brown ale that derives sweet caramel and toasted qualities from four different kinds of malt and specialty grains. Select hop varieties add enticing aroma to the nose and create a dry finish. This ale is so dark and rich, it’s hardly classifiable as brown, but is certainly considered a delicious masterpiece."  6.6 percent ABV
(I think this beer has a slight chocolate taste)

Short's Pandemonium Pale Ale:  American Pale Ale

"This coppered colored American pale ale lends its hue to hearty two row malts and hand selected specialty grains. Hop additions balance the wort, resulting in a tasty union of flavors and earthy aromas. Behold the bitter hysteria!"  5 percent ABV

Short's Soft Parade:  Fruit Infused Rye Ale

"This gourmet specialty is engineered of toasted rye flakes and two row malted barley. Loaded with pureed strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, we refer to this fermented potion as a fruit infused rye ale. The result is a refreshing fruit delicacy that’s easy to drink, appealing to look at, and finishes dry."  8 percent ABV
(This beer is strong, drink carefully, served in a 10oz snifter)

That's all for now,

-Sten
